Google drops real estate search

Google announced today that they would be ceasing support for Real Estate on Google maps as of early February 2011.

However,in their announcement, they do leave the door wide open to the possibility that they may well develop additional real estate search services in the future.

… we recognize that there might be better, more effective ways to help people find local real estate information than the current feature makes possible. We’ll continue to explore this area.
