The new social network Google+ is trying to corner (or catch up, depending on how you see it) on the expansive reach of online communication. The idea revolves (ha!) around their Google+ and their “Circles.” Circles help you organize everyone according to your real-life social connections. Then, you can share relevant content with the right people, and follow content posted by similar people you find interesting. Do you know where your analytics are?

July 2011 – Google released their first Analytics Benchmarking Newsletter, which highlights anonymous data collected from numerous Google Analytics accounts that opted-in. The data ranges from November 1, 2010 to February 1, 2011 and contrasted data from the year prior. Here are some keynotes in the newsletter: Breakdown by Geography Our anonymous database has aggregated geographic breakdown at the country level. Here are a few representative countries and their respective aggregate metrics. The first number in each cell represents the metric for the date range 11/1/10-2/1/11.
